1) HALL FACILITIES

    The venue is suitable for meetings, conferences, receptions, dinner and dance functions, concerts, lectures and stage events for 150 guests (200 lecture/performance) on the ground floor (main hall and lobby). There is a small hall suite on the first floor (small hall suite) ideal for community and business meetings, workshops, and smaller social events not requiring cooking facilities and PA. High quality technical systems are available: wide screen projection, PA, staging and theater lighting. Halls have fan ventilation. Conference equipment and wifi available. Tables and chairs are provided free of charge, small tables and chairs for children’s activities.

2) STAFFING

    Reception is always manned. Conferences and functions are allocated an event manager. We do not provide event cleaning or security etc, in order to reduce the costs to the user. Technical support for our audio-visual systems can be arranged for events and functions.

3) CATERING / DRINKS

    You can hire external caterers, or do your own catering. The ground floor kitchen is suitable as a base for function catering (function charges apply), see events information for details. The first floor suite is suitable only for limited serving of prepared food.

    Alcohol drinks can be served or sold (sales requires a temporary event licence). There are no corkage or bar charges.

4) DECORATIONS

    You are welcome to decorate the halls provided that the decorations are put up and removed within the booking period. See events information for details.

    Bookings can be taken up to 12 months in advance. Provisional reservations can be held for a few days, bookings are confirmed by payment of a one third deposit.

6) LIMITATIONS TO USE

    The maximum sound level in the main hall is 93dBA (quiet to moderate disco level) controlled by engineer or sound limiter. The maximum in the small hall is 87dBA. The in house PA speakers must be used.

    The church is a Christian community. Religious material from other religions, immoral, explicit or occult themes are not appropriate. Advertising and events which affect the church’s public image are subject to approval.

    General commercial selling is not permitted. Exceptions may be made for product launches, local business special events, ethical and charity sales.

    Party political campaigning is not permitted. Other party meetings can be booked at community rates subject to approval of the event content

    The limitations are based on the church’s values, trust deed, obligations to our neighbours, and charity law.

    Any community booking period can be booked for a wedding ceremony. 
    The church is a registered venue for Christian marriage ceremonies. The church ministers can legally marry Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea residents with a registrar present to issue the marriage certificate. Please contact the
    minister to enquire about this.
    If you wish to be married at the church by your own minister, or if you live outside of the church area, the agreement of your local registrars and Westminster registrars must be obtained.

9) DEDICATION OF CHILDREN / BAPTISM

    As a Baptist congregation we practise baptism for adults and children old enough to make their own decision about faith. For babies and younger children we celebrate their arrival in the community with a service of dedication.  For further information contact the minister.
