PARKING INFORMATION:

There are parking bays at the front of the church. These operate Mon-Fri 8:30-6:30 and Saturday 8:30-1:30. They are on Westminster’s Pay by Phone scheme and cost £2/hour. Maximum stay is 4 hours after which you must park in another “zone” i.e. in a bay other than the group in front of the church.

Across the road in front of the church is a different scheme (as its Kensington over there !) Its pay and display. The same charging and maximum stay periods apply but the rate is £2.40/hour.

Saturday Parking is extremely congested and its sensible to use to public transport or leave lots of time to find a space and walk back to the church. If searching for a space move away from Portobello, ie drive North and East.

Residents Bays. Take care with parking in residents bays outside their time period - read the signs carefully. Towards Bayswater many bays are restricted throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Blue Badge Disabled Parking. Take Care ! The scheme does not operate on yellow lines in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea. There are very limited free disabled spaces, 1 in Pembridge Crescent, 1 in Chepstow Road and several in Bayswater. But these are in heavy demand and only the Pembridge one is less than half a mile from the church. Consider using public transport, plan for normal parking and a pavement journey into the church, or arrange for someone to drop you off and park for you.

Bay suspension. Westminster may agree to suspend bays for you at a cost of £38 per bay per day. They may agree to suspend the bays in front of the church without charge for weddings and funerals.
